Work anniversaries are always a time for reflection. We dedicate so much of our time and effort to our work that it’s no wonder the people we see every day and the things we create become deeply meaningful to us.
Boatbuilding is a skill that can be taught—but true craftsmanship is a lifelong pursuit, demanding patience, perseverance, and grit. In a world that often prioritizes speed over perfection, choosing to dedicate your life to this craft is not just a profession; it’s an act of passion.
This week, we had the privilege of honoring the individuals at Sunseeker who have devoted 20, 30, and even 40 years to building the world’s finest yachts. The Long Service Awards, hosted by our Executive Team, celebrated their remarkable contributions.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your incredible dedication, craftsmanship, and for being an irreplaceable part of the #SunseekerFamily.
We also celebrated an extraordinary career and bid a heartfelt farewell to a true legend in our boat-building community, Dennis Barnes.
Dennis began his journey with us 47 years ago as our very first apprentice. Little did we know then the profound impact he would have—not just on this company, but on generations of craftsmen who followed in his footsteps.
His skill and dedication helped shape Sunseeker into what it is today. His guidance has inspired countless colleagues, and his passion has left an enduring legacy in the boat-building world.
Dennis, thank you for 47 years of unwavering commitment, for the memories we’ve shared, and for being such an integral part of our story. You will always have a place in the heart of Sunseeker.
